LATAMCAN LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
This conference will deliver the LATAMCAN Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Adrian Long.
AFTER THE CONFERENCE
For those who decide to stay the weekend in Panama after the event, we are planning a visit to the Miraflores Locks at the Panama Canal. Here we can see how this marvel of engineering works and enjoy a typical Panamanian lunch.
It has been called “The Eighth Wonder of the World”, the Panama Canal is one of the largest engineering projects of all time. Crossing the channel takes a boat less than 8 -10 hours. On the way, around 80 kilometers, the ship must pass through three sets of locks (Miraflores, Pedro Miguel and Gatun) that act as huge ships water lifting.
As they are close to the entrance to the Canal from the Pacific, the Miraflores Locks are the nearest to Panama City. Here is the Miraflores Visitors Center, covering an area of 18,000 square meters in which pictures, mechanical models and related Canal history objects are exhibited. Videos are also very illustrative.
The Panama Canal and the Miraflores Visitors Center, another “must” during your visit to Panama!
Price: $ 105.00 USD per person + 7% tax + 10% (min 30 people). LATAMCAN will send a link to the website of the operator of tours for everyone to make its own reservation. This event is not covered by the conference package.
